When organizations create initiatives to better the environment, we are definitely for it. This is even better when our favorite brands can partner with these companies and create a product that is eco-friendly. Adidas and Parley For The Oceans collaborate for a third time to bring us the Ultra Boost Coral Bleaching Collection. The name comes from a process when coral turns white due to warmer waters which fosters an unhealthy underwater environment. Parley has a desire to help save these waters and minimize this ocean crisis.
The collection is made up of the Ultra Boost 3.0, Ultra Boost Uncaged, and Women's silhouette Ultra Boost X. The icy light blue and white Primeknit upper is made with recycled ocean plastic material, along with the heel webbing and sits on a white boost midsole.
To add to the ocean initiative, this shoe comes with an NFC chip that allows the consumer to learn more about the partnership. These dropped today and have a price tag of $200 USD. What are your thoughts on the initiative and the shoe?
