5 Style Brands You Probably Don't Know Yet (But Should)

5 Style Brands You Probably Don't Know Yet (But Should)

Let’s face it: the internet, as busy as it is, can be the gift that keeps on giving for consumers (that would be us, y’all). With everything you could possibly think of at the tip of your keyboard (and possibly delivered in 48 hours thanks to Amazon) all of those options can get overwhelming and confusing enough to make you stick with what you know. Believe us, Britt and I definitely feel you. But every now and then, we stumble across a new, under-the-radar brand that fills us with warm e-purchase feels - the kind that get us all giddy and excited and reminds us just why we enjoy receiving packages in the mail.

Sure, we’ll always have a deep love and appreciation for some of our favorite e-shops and brick and mortar boutiques. But, at a time when many brands are losing touch with our needs as consumers, it’s refreshing to be captivated by, lesser-known, and often small locally-based, brands that are not only trying to make a name for themselves — but deserve to do so.

For that reason, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite brands you probably haven’t heard of. These businesses boast refreshing creativity, intense attention to detail, and a genius eye for wearability that will have you ready to spend your pennies and support a new kid on the e-block. Read on for the inside scoop on 5 brands to watch right now. We’re huge fans.

Brands-You-Should-Know-Outdoor-Voices.jpg

For The Athleisure Lover: Outdoor Voices

If you live in your athletic gear (we spot you all in the grocery stores, ma'am) then Outdoor Voices is a brand you may want to give a go. The Austin-based company offers sleek, color blocked, contempory styles that you can mix and match with pretty much anything. While the premium gear isn't the most cost effective, it definitely brings the quality and offers a wardrobe that spans gym-life and life-life without sweating the small stuff.

Brands-You-Should-Know-Mizzuno.jpg

For The Runner: Mizuno

When I think of running shoes, usually the first thing that comes to mind is pain. Finding a pair of shoes to pound the pavement in is no small task - especially if, like me, you're a member of the high arch and shin split club. Last year, Britt and I had the opportunity to try out Mizuno sneakers and in my humble opinion, they are definitely a surprise sleeper for all of you 5K fans.

Human Collection Shirt Dress

For the Soul: Human Collection

One thing Britt and I both love is supporting small, woman-owned businesses. We both feel that it's super important to show love to women who are taking leaps and trying to better themselves through business. Now, when a business also happens to have an incredibly positive message - well, that's just the icing on an already dope cake! HUMAN.Collection is one of those brands Britt and I just can't get enough of. Establsihed by I'sha Gaines (founder and EIC at HoneyBeNatural) the HUMAN.Collection is a plethora of products comprised of rings, head wraps, urban tees, and the bomb t-shirt dress I'm rocking above. My favorite thing about the HUMAN.Collection though, is the message behind the brand: we are all HUMAN. We mess up, slip up, jack things up majorly AND truth is forgiveness is an issue. We don’t forgive ourselves enough and we don’t forgive people enough. The HUMAN.Collection encourages us to do those things, put some perspective on our backs, and feel beautiful. That's a certified word, isn't it?

Don't stop! You've got two more to go! Click below to head to Britt's site for 2 more brands you probably don't know, BUT SHOULD!

Did you spot any brands you weren’t familiar with? Do you have any suggestions on brands you love that we might not know? We’re always down to give new things a shot! Let us know in the comments below!
