Look, I've made it no secret that I have a thing for floral sneakers. Call me a girly girl or whatever, but I dig them...a lot. So, when I saw this latest adidas x Limited EDT collab via the good folks at Naked CPH, I promptly cleaned my glasses for a better look.
The adidas Consortium series took it's talents to Singapore to team with Limited EDT, the country's go-to in upscale sneakerdom. With a number of notable collaborative collections under their belts, Limited EDT was a stand-out choice to bring some refresh to the Superstar 80v and the ZX Flux. And refresh, they did.
Graphic elements are a plenty as the tag team played with different materials, patterns (hey florals...), and very well placed metallic highlights that resulted in a refreshing mix of fresh-on-fresh. Limited EDT even made a point to reference Singapore's cultural roots using Batik fabrics and creating a custom floral pattern incorporating the country's national flower (an orchid), the adidas Trefoil, and the store's own emblem. Most of this significant floral pattern can be found on the ZX Flux which carries the entire print on it's upper.
While the Superstar finds it's Batik fabric touch only in the tongue, lining and heel, the real beauty is in the metallics. The shell-toe receives a shiny gold finish that will appeal to all those fans of flash.
If you're looking to cop this adidas Consortium drop, Naked CPH will release in store on November 28th at 11:00 CET with online purchasing available at NakedCPH.com at 12:00 CET.
