Whether in the #perfectnever or the #honoryourdays campaigns, Reebok has done a phenomenal job of turning this year into the year of the ladies. They've supported women in different ways than other athletic brands, turning to the catalyzation of spirit and self belief rather than just aesthetic and ability. If you need any extra inspiration this season Reebok has got you. Look no further than these 8 women. Each are letting us know that by living every day to its fullest and understanding that perfection is a myth, you are a champion.
1) Aly Raisman
Aly Raisman Olympic Gymnast and all around girl crush, isa gold medal winner with a powerful force and a consistent face behind the Reebok name. She takes no moment for granted and takes her role as a role model very seriously. Continuously talking about how practice pays off, this is a lady who continues to leap to new heights.
2) Ronda Rousey
You know Ronda Rousey, right? The woman who is arguably the face of ladies UFC has made waves by infiltrating a sport that is completely male dominated. Strong is an understatement. This chick brings some serious inspiration by continually reminding us to face our fears, head on.
3) GiGi Hadid
As a fashion model we’re used to seeing this girl as we flip through the pages of a magazine. However, she’s determined to let people know she’s more than just a pretty face. Miss Hadid wants to make it known that she works hard on the daily and doesn’t believe in days off. As one of the marquee faces of the #perfectnever campaign, she wants to let females know that as much as the media potrays her as perfect, there’s actually no such thing and that in order to feel beautiful everyone needs to feel comfortable in their own skin.
4) Emily Skye
This Australian beauty is a new addition to the ambassador team for Reebok but definitely a veteran when it comes too portraying female strength and independence. A self-made fitness influencer, this woman turned her Instagram into a one stop shop for transforming your body in the matter of years. Unlike some fitness accounts, Emily showcases a body that actually looks attainable and preaches a healthy and safe lifestyle more than anything. The best part? She’s continuously cracking jokes and adding so much laughter to the journey of self love.
5) Jasmine Sanders
You probably know her by her social media handle, @Goldenbarbie but regardless of the name you know her by, you know her. Sanders isn’t an ambassador for Reebok but has been utilized to get the overall message of ‘women and fitness are a way of life’ by the company. This gorgeous being has climbed the modeling ladder by herself and regardless of how many famous people she’s surrounded by she stays grounded. Sanders prides herself in maintaining a workout routine no matter how busy her schedule gets and emphasizes that if you make time too excercise you'll not only look better but feel better too.
6) Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir
Katrin hails all the way from Iceland but is one of the main faces of the brand. When Reebok claimed sponsorship over the Crossfit games they opened up a whole new world of athletics. Not to mention, an entirely new way that women athletes are showcased. Crossfit has solidified beams in the foundation of 'a strong body is a beautiful one.' An idea that has taken flight in the last 2 years. Katrin has been named ‘The fittest woman on Earth’ by winning the Crossfit games the past two years in a row and makes it known that through consistent training and the right mindset, your accomplishments have no boundaries.
7) Danielle Peazer
Danielle Peazer is a professional dancer from the UK and a health enthusiast. Peazer is on a mission to make it known that women need to make it a priority to take care of not only their body but their mind as well. Peazer emphasizes that life isn’t always pirouettes and leaps, sometimes you have set backs and when those set backs come you just have to adapt and come back ten times stronger.
8) Ladies from the #perfectnever Panel
We couldn't just pick one, obviously. Number 8 is the panel of women that ran a conversation around the #Perfectnever campaign. Consisting of Aly Raisman, Gigi Hadid, Ruby Rose, Zoe Kravitz, and Lena Duhnam, the message behind this campaign is such a strong one. Communicating that perfection doesn’t look or act a certain way. The bottom line is that you’re perfect by being yourself, whatever that looks like. Reebok (and their super talented roundtable) are encouraging us all to chase ourselves, not perfection. So, be kind to yourself and if you have an extra hour in your day this holiday season, click play and get inspirired.
We decided to throw this in our 12 Days of Kicksmas because a lot of these women hold careers that take place in sneakers. Yes you have run way models on here and a gymnast who doesn't wear shoes when she's performing but all of them turn to sneakers when they need to reignite their light. At CNK we love telling you about different kicks but at the end of the day, its what you do in those kicks that make the difference. So thank you Reebok for showing us that women who rock sneakers really can run the world.
