I think it’s safe to say that Adidas can enter the 2016 holiday season on a positive note. Throughout the year of 2016 three stripes has just handed us hit after hit. Whether that has to do with a collab or limited editions, they’ve proven that they have the grip on following and setting trends. The company is a stable combination of technology intersecting with aesthetic. The Boost and Tublar technology are the things that are truly keeping Adidas ahead of the pack.

The actual performance of the shoe is top notch, however, I think it’s safe to say that a lot of the success is due to the amount of shade they’ve thrown. The literal shades. They utilize soft and subtle colorways. There is a cleanliness that these shades bring. The clean design brings a professionalism to the sneaker world which is opening new doors and new ways to wear. Here are nine examples of three stripes shoes that have been produced in a colorway that are so neutral, they’re loud enough to get our special attention.

1) Ultra Boost in White/White/Crystal White

First up is the Ultra Boost. This is by far one of the most popular shoes worn by both gals and guys. Ironically, it’s on here being shown with no shade, at all. The clean look of the white Ultra Boost is something a lot of people are looking to snag. If your outfit were a sentence, the white Ultra Boost would be a period. You can’t dispute it. Not to mention it’s a great shoe to run in as well. The only down side is keeping it clean. If there is a will there is way.

2) Tubular Viral in Chalk White

Next up is the Tubular Viral. This shoe is offered in many different colorways. However it’s the one in ‘chalk white’ that was a stand-out. The nylon upper gives these a classy look. The ‘Tubular’ technology is one that has set Adidas apart this year and something that people are really responding too. They consider the Viral a winterized version of the shoe. With an elastic mid foot strap, this shoe not only looks good, it fits well too.

3) Stan Smith in Grey Wool

The Stan Smith. Stan Smith is high up on the Mt. Olympus of sneakers and it’s awesome that the legacy still reigns on. A true Adidas original, this sneaker is probably the one you’ve seen every model or celebrity in, doing errands and yet looking “really cool.” This holiday we're showin you the wool edition that three stripes dropped on the 10th of December. Copping these will warm up your wardrobe figuritively as well as literally. A simple silhouette that makes a significant statement.

4) Tubular Shadow in Khaki

Next up is the Tubular Shadow. This shoe is a new kid on the block but a defining example of the approach that Adidas is taking that’s setting it apart. Looking like the twice removed cousin of the Yeezy, the Shadow is texturally intriguing with a diamond knit pattern and 3D feel. The modern take on this shoe is something that is a game changer and will set the pace for 2017. And, if you wear kicks for comfort? Here’s your guy. The shoe is really only offered in earth tones and we’re obsessed

5) The Ultra Boost Uncaged in Black & White

The next pair is the P.I.C to the Ultra Boost. The Ultra Boost Uncaged obviously looks similar but the fly knit upper gives it its own identity. The shoe allows for stretch but lets you flex when you’re wearing it due to the combination of color that the fly knit material allows you to produce. This is a cop if you appreciate the simplicity that Adidas brings but you also enjoy some fun. Not to mention, these shoes are ridiculously comfortable.

6) The Superstar in Grey Suede

Superstar, is probably the most nostalgic silhouette if you’re a late 80’s-90’s baby. In fact, this was one of the last shoes that Adidas was known for before they went into redevelopment mode and then came back to shut down the rest of the sneaker world. Such a comfortable fit and if you’re a fan of shoes like a Chuck Taylor, this is such a solid find in terms of versatility. Similar to the Stan Smith in silhouette it’s easy to get the two confused. The Stan doesn’t have the literal three stripes on the mid and is missing the signature shelltoe. However, both are great shoes and are now being offered in all of the shades.

7) The NMD in Olive

The NMD is next up. This lightweight shoe is streetwear meeting running technology at its finest. It’s sleek design mirrors the Ultra Boost but appears more as a day to day wear rather than an athletic shoe. This shoe has been produced in colorways such as ‘French Beige’ but we’re showing it in the recent release of ‘Olive.’ This colorway has been a hit of the 2016 Fall season and the way the olive appears on the NMD doesn’t leave us salty at all.

8) Tubular Entrap in Ice Purple

Another one from the Tubular technology that got some premium shade is the Tubular Entrap. This is one of those silhouettes where things tend to get fuzzy because if you’re not looking at all three side by side. The Entrap looks like the NMD and the Viral had a baby, a really architecturally sound and visually appealing baby. The Entrap has been made over a couple times. But ice purple tone is a game changer and is soft enough to stand next to the greys, beiges, and other earth tones but hold its own.

9) The Yeezy Boost

We'll close out the list with the big dog. The Yeezy Boost. The creative collaboration child of Kanye West and Nic Galway (VP of global design at Adidas) its safe to say that this sneaker pretty could have run for president and may have won. People are hooked. It is one of the most innovative sneakers to hit the market in a while and due to its high cost, it’s exclusivity is also setting it apart. The Boost technology is also making it such an incredibly comfortable and reliable sneaker to wear. Not to mention every colorway of this shoe is neutral and again, earth toned which is probably what shot it out of the park.

Adidas is such an awesome grab if you’re looking to spread some cheer this holiday season. For ladies looking to make their introduction to the sneaker world, this is a great place to start especially with these neutral tones. The silhouettes of these classics to contemporaries aren’t intimidating and carry a serious style punch. If you were to get 9 ladies dancing today, you’d want them to rocking any of these shoes.
