Every week, 'Fit Chicks' will highlight attire, tips, and (of course!) sneakers that make it perfect for you to get your sweat on in style. We’ll also hip you to some of our favorite weekend hang sessions and interactions with like-minded ladies because, we love showing love!

If you’re anything like us, you love you some activewear.  From the gym to the grocery store, tights, sports bras, and compression tees are a regular wardrobe staple.  While splurging on gorgeous activewear pieces is always a treat, we aren’t made of money and - to be honest - we have no desire to spend our hard earned dough on options that are less than affordable. Welcome to adulthood.  Here’s the good news, though: you don’t have to spend a fortune to find stylish pieces that are as cute as they are functional.

Take a look below at some of our favorite sweat-worthy and budget-friendly brands that bring the workout chic without breaking into your bill stash.

1. Old Navy Active

If you're a fan of brands like Nike and Lululemon, you'll love Old Navy Active. With a very similar aesthetic appeal, Old Navy delivers a surprisingly fashion-forward set of active styles with beautiful prints and eye-catching designs. These Go-Dry High-Rise Compression Leggings will only run you about $20.

2. Forever 21 Activewear

Forever 21 takes the cake as the cheapest activewear (overall) on this list. With $14 sports bras, $9 tanks, and $20 leggings, you could stock up on a brand-new wardrobe without putting much of a dent in your checking account. We love this medium impact, macrame sports bra in sunset for $15 and this awesome Post-Yoga Cardigan for $12. Yea...TWELVE.

3. Target - C9 by Champion

Punchy colors meet striking silhouettes at a competitive price point in Target’s line of activewear by Champion, C9.  Although there are frequent sales, the full-priced items aren’t too high on the price point scale to begin with.  Tights are under $40, and tanks, shirts, and jackets are typically under $40 as well (this super cute Cross Back French Terry Hoodie is our favorite, and it’s $35!).

4. H&M Sportswear

When H&M released its activewear line, we all took notice. Stylish workout clothes at budget-friendly prices? Please and thank you. The high fashion styles in bright colors and prints are hoard-worthy, not to mention totally functional on a run, on the elliptical, or the yoga studio.  Our fave? This gorgeous hooded running vest and matching two-tone compression short. LOVE.

5. Puma Sport

Since one of us runs a sneaker blog and both of us are HUGE sneaker fans, you know we couldn’t miss a chance to slide in a kick moment.  Lucky for us, Puma consistently brings both comfort and banging prices in their sport footwear.  One of the better options is the Pulse XT Geo Women’s Training Shoe which you can nab easy for anywhere between $49 and $56 depending on the style selection. I personally own 2 pairs and they are one of my top go-to shoes when headed to sweat it out!  Puma regularly has sales so, checking back once a week for those $70 sneaks you were looking at will probably result in a nice bargain.

Any budget-friendly active wear brands we missed? What are some of your favorites?
