If you've been keeping up with the Rio Olympics you may have seen a pretty inspirational advertisement courtesy of our friends at Nike. The “Unlimited Youth” ad campaign features 86-year-old Sister Madonna Buder, famously known as the world’s oldest female participant of the IRONMAN triathlon. As seen in the clip below, the extraordinary ”Iron Nun” unstoppable as she runs, bikes and swims with the best of them.
In her life, Buder has competed in more than 40 IRONMAN triathlon races, which includes a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile run.
After completing her first IRONMAN World Championship at the age of 65, Buder became the oldest woman to compete in an IRONMAN triathlon when she was 75 years old. When Buder reached 82, she set another world record as the oldest IRONMAN triathlon athlete. Watch the video below and get your slow clap ready.
