BREAKING NEWS ALERT
The last time we caught up with basketball star Skylar Diggins-Smith, she was showing off her sneakHER shopping style at the Nike x Nordstrom sneaker boutique in Chicago. This event gave Nike athletes a chance to create fly outfits to represent that women can still be fashionable wearing sneakers. But, did you catch the KEY word here. NIKE.
Based on information this morning, it looks as if this star professional athlete has moved on from the Swoosh and teamed up with the PUMA family forging a long-term relationship. SAY WHAT?! Today, PUMA released an announcement that Skylar will join their ranks adding to the A-list of female ambassadors. The roster includes Rihanna, Jenna Prandini, and Cara Delevingne to name a few.
Skylar has always been an athlete who believes in giving back, especially to young women. As part of PUMA's Do You campaign, she will represent how women explore their passions by living their best lives and stay true to themselves in the process. It is all about inspiring and empowering women to be happy and reach goals. Chickspiration at it's finest.
"She [Skylar] is confident, talented, and an inspiration to young women. We are excited to have her join our team of female ambassadors."
- Adam Petrick, Global Director of Brand/Marketing PUMA
PUMA has been laser-focused and concentrating on elevating their women's business. Skylar and the other elite list of female ambassadors will be diligently working on this campaign along with product creation and various marketing initiatives. We can't wait to see what's next for Skylar (shoes in the works?!) and know that she will represent the brand to a T. #DoYou
