One thing I really wanted to do when I started CNK was find a way to give back to the community I serve. For me, homelessness hits close to home and I was certain that CNK could provide a way for myself and the crew to show a little love to people who need it the most.
This past September, that opportunity came to fruition as CNK teamed with Dallas sneaker boutique Centre to collect shoes to save soles. Teaming up with Dallas-based charitable organization Turning Paiges for their September Sole Saving mission, we put our sneakers where our mouths were by encouraging our friends and followers to donate AND Centre even offered an incentive: 25% off any purchase in exchange for your donation.
At the end of the month, we decided to insert a little kick back into our giveback and just last week we invited folks out for music (by none other than Dallas Mavs/Wings music maven DJ Poizon Ivy), drinks (free brewski provided by the good folks at Lone Star, pour up provided by bartending beauty Kellie McDonald), and chance to big up Turning Paiges and the mission they strive to achieve.
Take a look below at a few shots from our kick back AND, if you'd like to donate your old shoes, head to TurningPaiges.com/SoleSaving.
