Nike Unveils a New Generation Air Force 1
Written by Sierra Silberman
First shown at a sneaker exhibit in Shanghai, Nike‘s new SFAF1 boot or the Special Field Air Force 1, is a rugged (and possibly high fashion) iteration of the beloved Air Force 1. The sneaker makes uses of military-grade materials and colors (white, black and olive) as applied to Nike’s Air Force 1 silhouette.
The overall combat feel is something that Nike does so well and, this time, even the ladies get a piece of the offering with our very own ivory SF AF1. The premium leather up the front keeps the look clean while a new take on the AF1 High ankle strap allows you to cinch in or loosen up - adding many possible vibes to your outfit.
Recently, additional images of the Ben Kirschner-designed shoe have popped up with a nylon tote bag featuring straps that mimic those on the shoe. Our guess is that the shoe is being seeded with the tote to various Nike media reps, but will be sold separately when it hits retail.
The SF AF-1 is available in two men's colorways (Faded Olive/Gum and Black/Gum) and two women's colorways (Light Bone/Sail and Golden Beige/Linen) starting November 5 for $180 via the SNKRS App and select global retailers. The unisex white/white colorway will be available exclusively at Complex Con, November 5 and 6.
