Run The Town In The NikeLab Zoom Fly SP "Chicago"
Last weekend in Chicago, we had the opportunity to run like the wind with NikeLab as they prepare for this year's Chicago Marathon. If you didn't get a chance to check out our Sneaker Diary in the NikeLab Zoom Fly SP, click here. Lucky for us, we also got the chance to grab a pair of Nike's latest Zoom Fly SP, another edition specifically dubbed "Chicago", curated not only for the marathon festivities but, to show support for the oft-underserved communities in the very heart of Chi-Town.
As the 40th anniversary of the Chicago Marathon takes over the city, Nike brings forth the second installment of their RISE CHICAGO initiative, the first of which began in Summer 2017. This week, RISE is in full effect across Chicago and will culminate in local partnerships with youth organizations dedicated to creating positive change in communities throughout each side of Chicago. Nike is joining with Chicago Run and Triple Threat to harness efforts to enable the next generation of runners to unleash the power of the run and to positively enrich lives through mentorship.
And, the Zoom Fly SP "Chicago" is at the center of the RISE. The Zoom Fly, which released today (10/5), is designed with a responsive construction that turns the pressure of each stride into energy return for the next. This special take on the racer updates the lightweight support system, while taupe grey and obsidian hues elevate the aesthetic.
Since we found out these would be dropping this Thursday (10/5) at NikeLab and via the Nike SNKRS app, it was only right that a few Chicago kids put these on and give them some photo love. See more detailed snaps, from unboxing to lace up, below.
If you're looking to cop the NikeLab Zoom Fly SP "Chicago", you can do so by heading over to Nike.com, logging into your SNKRS app, or by clicking the direct link box above. They retail for $150.00 USD.
