Cop or Can: Nike Sportswear x Carhartt WIP Collection
While Nike and Carhartt WIP have worked together on highly coveted projects in the past, this newest collection is the most extensive yet with four sneakers releasing. If you’re unfamiliar with Carhartt Work in Progress (WIP), it’s basically the stylish sibling of the work wear brand, Carhartt. Because of the contemporary design mixed with durable materials, the subsidiary brand quickly became a staple in streetwear and with sneaker lovers. This collection with Nike Sportswear melds the two worlds together by covering iconic Nike silhouettes with signature fabrics of Carhartt WIP.
The collection will feature an Air Force 1 Low, Air Force 1 Low Utility, Air Max 95 and a Vandal Supreme High. Core Carhartt WIP fabrics are seen throughout the capsule; like the Dearborn Canvas in black on the AF1 Low Utility and AM95. An eye-catching Camo Tiger Ripstop is also seen on those two models. The same canvas in ‘Hamilton Brown’ and black are seen on the AF1 Low and Vandal. These sneakers are finished with contrasting soles, tonal laces, and sleek branding. I’m always picking up cozy pieces from Carhartt WIP, so when this collection was announced, I was a little excited. We love a little camo moment, and the fact these sneakers incorporate those durable fabrics is a plus. Standout kicks for me are the AM95 and AF1 Lows. Are you feeling this work wear inspired capsule? It’s slated to drop December 6 and retail for $130 for the AF1 Low and Vandal, $165 for the AF1 Low Utility and $170 for the AM95. If these are a must cop, you can SHOP THE COLLECTION below on release day!
