Nike Sportswear Unveils New EXP-X14 Silhouette
Nike’s newest silhouette is a nod to the swooshes history of running shoes while embracing the future and innovative technology. The shoe pushes the boundaries of what a lifestyle sneaker can look like and feel like. The “X14” of the sneakers name derives from the internal code for Nike’s React Technology that’s featured in the midsole. The “EXP” portion is shorthand for “experiment.” This refers to how the Nike Sportswear designers adapted running shoe features into a lifestyle shoe. I’m really digging the feel of this shoe and I can’t wait to see what all colorways Nike comes out with.
The shoe is set to release in five colorways across different regions: blue/volt, rose gold/gold, black/red, black/white and mica green/white. Based around the late 90s Zoom Drive, the upper of the shoe is updated with a translucent material and perforations on the side panel for more breathability. The midsole is reminiscent of the Zoom Vaporfly 4% with the exposed TPU plate and narrow heel. The upper is also accented with details like the “N3546” printed on the side. This unique code represents 70s Olympian, Steve Prefontaine’s, fastest mile which was 3 minutes and 54.6 seconds. You can take a look at this modern lifestyle sneaker below.
I love a sneakHER with a good story and these EXP-X14’s don’t disappoint. The idea of merging the past with the future while also merging performance with lifestyle definitely pushes boundaries. Purchase the WMNS EXP-X14 via our SHOP THE SNEAKS button below for $120 USD.
