We love it when collaborations pay tribute to their hometown roots. With the NBA All Star weekend about to begin, the city of Charlotte has been buzzing. Literally. The local store, Black Sheep Skate Shop, is partnering with the Swoosh to drop an amazingly gorgeous Nike SB Dunk High. From the colorway to the inspiration, this Dunk screams Charlotte and how the crossover between SBs and AJ1s still enrich the present culture.

The owner of Black Sheep, Josh Frazier, actually grew up doing kick flips in his Air Jordan 1s. It was only right to include MJ's famous elephant print along with iridescent purple/teal tones to create the perfect hometown hero within a sneaker. The Nike SB Dunk High 'Black Hornet' includes co-branding on the tongue and a "stinger" placed on the signature Nike Swoosh.

I personally love the colorway on this Dunk High and how Black Sheep incorporated the fusion of the Air Jordan 1. The Black Sheep x Nike SB “Black Hornet” Dunk High will be available at Black Sheep’s Charlotte, NC flagship location on Friday, February 15th. Select skate shops across the country will launch on Friday February 22nd with a SNKRS launch to follow on February 23th.
