Mexico’s annual Día de Muertos (Day Of The Dead) festivities are a historic tradition in Latin culture and, along with the cultural tradition, create a striking iconography that we all immediately identify when we see a sugar skull. Nike pays homage to this season with a Día de Muertos-inspired Air Force 1 Low.

Compared with some of the more colorful designs we’ve seen in the past, this new design is somewhat simple with a white low-top with colorful yellow, blue, pink, and green piping. The details, however, make this a standout. With a faint repeating skull print on the mudguard, towards the rear, and on the midfoot Swoosh, the print is blown up and presented in vivid pink on the insole, while more special pink graphics on the tongue.

A black logo-equipped heel tab, bronze lace deubre, and white midsole with black accents complete the sneaker. The Nike Air Force 1 “Day of the Dead” will hit Nike.com probably within the next month ahead of the celebration which is from October 31st to November 2nd.
