Wish List: The New Nike Adapt Huarache

Image Sneaker News

The Nike Huarache silhouette has been around for decades, and was some of the first sneakers that we wore until they were beaters (AKA shoes you wear ‘til you can’t anymore). There has been an endless abundance of colorways and some really cool styles birthed from the Huarache family tree. The Nike Huarache sneaker was best known in my childhood memories for the snug fit design featuring a neoprene bootie and unique cage. The Huarache is now pairing with the Swoosh’s FitAdapt technology, pushing the evolution of the sneaker into present day with all the bells and whistles.

At first look, the Nike Adapt Huarache looks like a dope lifestyle sneaker. We saw teasers on the internet, and instantly did a double take because of the vibrant yellow upper. It keeps to the fit-focused design, with minimal branding. The fusion of the Nike Adapt lacing system, run by a motor housed at midfoot, is controlled through a Nike Adapt app. You can’t get anymore tech-y than that. The app provides the user with a variety of preferences for the best fit possible that span from the type of your foot to the activity.

Basically, the shoe looks dope and integrates the FitAdapt self-lacing technology that evolves with you. However, the quality comes with a price. If you’re familiar with the other sneaker models in the Nike Adapt family, you may know the price tag ballpark. This Nike Adapt Huarache is rumored to drop 9/13 for $350 USD. Are you saving your coins for this latest Huarache revolution, or is this a pass?
