The 2020 Nike BETRUE Collection Has Emerged

Image: Sneaker News

June is Pride Month and it serves as a reminder of all that has been accomplished in the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights and the work that is still left to be done. For sneakerheads, it also signals one thing: start stalking the SNKRS app for when we can expect Nike’s BETRUE Collection to drop.

This year, Nike has repurposed and modernized classic silhouettes and brought us 3 different styles to choose from. The Air Force 1 features radiant details that were inspired by the mid 80’s NYC ballroom culture and features a 10 color heel tab in honor of the “More Color, More Pride” flag introduced in 2017. The Air Deschutz features a mini pouch on the back and gives us an option for when we want to give our sneakers a break. The Air Max 2090 is the modern sister of the Air Max 90 and features all over splashes of color and transparent detailing.

The collection also features a range of apparel and accessories including t-shirt options, ACG shorts, and a small items bag. No matter what sneaks you decide to cop, the BETRUE Collection has apparel to match. Check out the snaps below for a more in depth look.

This year's BETRUE Collection takes a fun play on the classics and let’s be honest: who doesn’t love a shoe with a message? A full unisex size run will be available for purchase through Nike.com and SNKRS. Turn on your SNKRS notifications to SHOP THE SNEAKS when the collection drops on June 19th. Prices range from $90 to $150 USD for sneakers, $30 to $65 USD for apparel, and $12 to $169 USD for accessories. Note: The Nike BETRUE collection’s release has been postponed to June 22nd.
