Nike x AMBUSH Dunk High 'Deep Royal Blue' | First Look

Late last year, Nike and AMBUSH teamed up to give us an NBA collection along with a pair of coveted dunks that left us wanting more. The disruptive nature of the whole collection demonstrated to us that Yoon Ahn’s inspiration comes from various avenues and can make for some fire pieces. However, it seems that Nike x AMBUSH are just getting started.

Recently, images of Nike x AMBUSH Dunk High in ‘Deep Royal Blue’ have begun circulating and let's just say it was an immediate attention grabber. Similar to the black and white colorway that released in December, the sneaker has the same disruptive elements such as the extended Swoosh branding and prominent heel counter. However, new life is brought to the Dunk with the introduction of the deep royal blue overlays atop the white leather upper. A black extended Swoosh and black laces finishes off the shoe and look awfully familiar to the AJ1 ‘Game Royal’. Nike and AMBUSH co-branding is also seen throughout. In addition, Yoon Ahn has also unveiled a ‘Chicago’ colorway that unfortunately will not be available for purchase. You can check them out below and join us in imagining what could have been.

In an interesting turn of events, Yoon took to social media to warn about fake pairs that have began to surface. She noted that the true iterations of this coveted silhouette come with blue tongue labels. While the likelihood of bootleg manufacturers correcting the callout is high, we have two words for the community. STAY WOKE.

WHEN IS THE NIKE X AMBUSH DUNK HIGH ‘DEEP ROYAL BLUE’ RELEASING?

Although the ‘Chicago’ colorway will not be available to the public, the Nike x AMBUSH Dunk High ‘Deep Royal Blue’ is rumored to be releasing some time during Spring/Summer 2021 with a price tag around $180 USD.
