Nike Flyleather Collection | First Look
Original Post Date: May 18th, 2021
Whenever we see modern iterations of our favorite staple sneakers we may feel a little hesitant. We want modern touches without compromising classic style. Nike has a way of doing just that and have undoubtedly used their Air Force 1 and Blazer silhouettes as a canvas for iterations that are on-trend and willing to withstand the test of time.
The Nike Flyleather Collection features a Nike Air Force 1 and Blazer Low iteration that highlights a creative approach through circular design. The collection features whimsical upper treatments designed by Tokyo-born artist Mayumi Yamase. The upper’s playful details are inspired by Mayume’s belief in community as a creative, dynamic variable in her projects. Both shoes in the collection are constructed with 50% recycled leather fibers and are characterized by quiet, muted bases of white underneath splashes of earthy pastels. Check out the snaps below for a closer look.
