This week marks the beginning of LatinX Heritage Month. A month dedicated to celebrating LatinX culture but also serves as a time of reflection for all of the things that made us who we are, including our own neighborhoods. With the ringing of this special month, we are starting to see brands dropping collections to partake in the festivities. Converse has put out their annual LatinX Heritage Month collection and it serves as a dedication to those LatinX neighborhoods and the collective strength and entrepreneurial spirit that drives them forward. 

The Converse ¡Mi Gente, Mi Barrio! Collection is a 7 piece collection that features all over Bodega-inspired graphics. Taking cues from the places and faces of LatinX barrios, the collection uses both bold colors and prints to celebrate the food, culture, and overall vibrancy of the LatinX community. Vintage license plate branding on the Chuck 70 iterations pays homage to the legacy of the LatinX community. Chuck 70 and classic Chuck Taylor All Star’s come in both high and low variations while a new iteration of the Louie Lopez Pro is also available. Two apparel options that include a unisex tee and hoodie round out the collection. Check out the images below for a closer look.
