Nike Air Force 1 Low "Year of the Tiger" | Release Info

The Chinese zodiac is made up of 12 signs, just like the Western zodiac, but is based on a religious myth of a grand race between animals rather than star constellations. While the Western zodiac has a 12-month cycle, the Chinese zodiac has a 12-year cycle. The Lunar New Year falls on Tuesday, February 1 and will mark a transition from 2021’s year of the ox into 2022’s year of the tiger.

According to legend, the tiger strutted into the race with a little too much confidence. The tiger assumed it would win first place, but ultimately lost to the rat’s cunning abilities and the ox’s industriousness. People who are born during the year of the tiger are known to be brave, ambitious, self-confident, and independent.

Sometime this spring, Nike is releasing an Air Force 1 Low to celebrate our transition into the year of the tiger. White canvas uppers compliment a vivid orange satin heel tab, a nod to the prevalence of silk in Chinese culture. The signature swoosh comes decked out in tiger print satin. Bright orange bottoms and a heavily detailed, embroidered tiger face complete the look.

Where can I get the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Year of the Tiger”?
