Birkenstock x Manolo Blahnik | Release Info

Birkenstock is no stranger to collaborations with high-end designers. In the past, we’ve seen the outdoor sandal authority team up with fashion icons like Rick Owens, and their recent pairing with Dior made waves on the internet. For Spring 2022, they’ve linked up with luxury footwear designer Manolo Blahnik. Made notorious for their opulence via Sex and the City, Manolo mules have become some of the most sought after and recognizable heels on the market.

Blahnik himself is excited about the release, saying that Birkenstocks have been a favorite brand of his for years.

“Birkenstocks have been in my wardrobe since the very beginning,” said the Spanish designer. “I have loved and worn mine for many years. I am thrilled that we have been able to collaborate; fusing the Manolo Blahnik aesthetic with the everyday comfort of Birkenstocks is simply wonderful.”

The Boston slides and Arizona sandals get a glamorous makeover in the Birkenstock x Manolo Blahnik collection. The two silhouettes come in three different styles each: true blue velvet, bright fuchsia velvet, and slick black leather. Each pair comes outfitted with lavish metal buckles, decorated with crystals. Rubber outsoles ensure outdoor wear is possible, keeping true to the Birkenstock brand.

Where can I buy the Birkenstock x Manolo Blahnik collection?

The Birkenstock x Manolo Blahnik collection drops TOMORROW, March 24 on the Manolo site and in all Manolo Blahnik stores. Despite the Birkenstock comfort factor, these slides come with a Manolo price tag; expect to drop anywhere from $750 USD to $810 USD for a pair. If you’re fresh out of cash due to spring break vacay, don’t fret: this collection is set for a second release sometime in June of this year.
