Let's Talk About It: The Stüssy x Nike Air Max 2015 'Fossil'

If there is one collaboration that always surprises us its Stüssy and Nike. Stüssy has the ability to make some of the most muted designs that seem to sell out every time. They have proven time and time again that loud designs aren’t everyone’s cup of tea and that’s okay. Coming off the heels of their latest drop with Converse, Stüssy is teaming up with Nike once again to bring a silhouette out from the archives in the most subtle way possible.

The Stüssy x Nike Air Max 2015 has a hemp-colored mesh upper with black detailing for a stark contrast. A flipped Swoosh detailing on the heel matches the Stüssy branding underneath the threaded eyelets and tongue tabs. A matte-cream Air Unit midsole and black rubber outsole round out the sneaker. Now these may not be everyone’s favorite and some may even call the shoe boring. However, consider it the canvas for endless styling possibilities. Check out the images below for a closer look.

WHEN IS THE STÜSSY X NIKE AIR MAX 2015 RELEASING?

This upcoming release reminds us a little of the previously release Stüssy x Nike Spiridon Cage 2 in ‘Fossil’ but we would love to know what you think and if this is going to be a cop or can for you. UPDATE 08/10/2022:

Since the initial teaser of the upcoming Nike x Stüssy Air Max 2015 two additional colorways have been revealed. A bubble gum pink and black iteration will also be releasing, rounding out the trio of footwear. The pink colorway takes on a monochromatic approach while the black version has a little something extra. The black mesh upper reveals a color red and yellow base layer.
