New Balance is having a good run. They’ve always been a household name but let’s be real, they honestly never got much play until recent years. Their rebrand has been significant and now we’re seeing a few pairs of New Balances in everyone’s lineup. The last time we saw the 9060 was for the Joe Freshgoods ‘Penny Cookie Pink’ which was a stunning colorway. Although, this time around they’re keeping it more simple. Don’t get it twisted though, this 9060 is still giving what it needs to and it’d feel right at home in your sneakHER lineup.
The New Balance 9060 is a union of New Balance’s iconic 990 as well as their 860 running shoes. A smokey grey mesh underlay blends in with the suede upper overlay of the same color. On the lower overlay, black suede is draped over the grey mesh instead. The “N” logo on one side has a 3M coating, while on the other side it’s a grey abstract stitched embroidery. The 9060 features a chunky sole with ABZORB technology that gives the shoe a futuristic Y2K feel. Red 9060 branding is highlighted on the leather tongue and black laces round everything out.

The New Balance 9060 ‘Black Castlerock’ will release on September 2nd at 9am EST via newbalance.com. They will retail for $149.99 USD and unisex sizing will be available.
