We can’t say this enough, but Boston-based sneaker brand New Balance, has been on point with it’s collaborative efforts. This time, New Balance is headed to the West coast. South Central LA to be exact. In partnership with Bricks and Wood, a brand new luxe 57/40 will grace the e-shelves soon. Both brands teaming up would seem very fitting given the intentional focus on quality products and storytelling through design elements. Bricks and Wood is a Black-owned brand that is rooted in the every day life of South Central. The harmony of the brand is highlighted through community and streetwear origin. While their pieces are referred to as ‘Rarewear’, they are all meant to be timeless staples for any closet. Not only do they set a stage straight out of South Central LA, but they aim to create a voice for others.
You may have missed the pop-up and exclusive Bricks and Wood x New Balance release last week, but you will get another chance to cop the beautiful 57/40 sneaker. In the spirit of both brands leaning into the premium quality of the pair, this 57/40 features a rich green pig suede upper, nubuck overlays, and leather underlays. Co-branding accents the tongue and sneaker insole as cotton laces detail the upper. To soften the stride, lightweight EVA foam adds comfortability to the 57/40.
