We recently took a look at Drew Henderson's AF1 ALL FOR 1 - Chicago and now we're heading over to the west coast to check out what Lauren Halsey has created for LA. Halsey is an artist from South Central who i sknown for combining vibrant elements of found objects around the city to created textured installations and monuments. Her art is filled with inspiration from the LA community and aimed at authentically and poetically rewriting the narrative.

Halsey's triple black AF1 Hi is a complete ode to Los Angeles. The tongue is woven in block text true to posters seen across the city, the sockliner features a collage of South LA storefronts, red and green accents on the upper, interchangeable straps and a dubrae with hand-lettered screen printing in a font similar to Halsey's Hieroglph Crenshaw Project. We also see "SUMMAEVERYTHING" on the side of the sneaker too.

“We all should move, create and act with the conceit of love in our hearts,” says Halsey. “Love means family. It means my friends. It means my girlfriend. When I work and when I build I think about who I can involve so that the projects are centered around love from beginning to end.”

Lauren Halsey's AF1 ALL FOR 1 - Los Angeles will release on December 7 on nike.com, SNKRS and at select retailers in Los Angeles.
