The Nike Be True 2018 Collection

Nike is back with their BETRUE 2018 collection that celebrates the LGBTQ community. This year the focus on the collection highlights the color lavender and the pink triangle.

As stated in the article by Nike, Lavendar is one of the oldest symbolic references in the LGBTQ culture. This shade appears in the four shoes in this years collection: the Nike Vapormax Plus, the Nike Air Max 270, the Nike Zoom Fly and the Nike Epic React Flyknit.

The lavender is complemented by other colors in the traditional rainbow scheme. In both the Vapormax Plus and the Air Max 270 the airbags are dyed in the six-color spectrum. In the Zoom Fly SP, we see the muted rainbow through the translucent upper. We also see the pink triangle on the side of the Zoom Fly and the back of the Nike Epic React Flyknit.

The Nike BETRUE 2018 collection, which also includes T-shirts, socks, a hat and a heritage hip pack, launches with the release of the Epic React Flyknit and the Zoom Fly on June 6 on nike.com and at select retail locations globally.
