Olivia Kim "No Cover" Collection

If you didn't know, Olivia Kim is the Vice President of Creative Projects at Nordstrom. This week Olivia Kim will be releasing her latest collaboration with Nike that will include five fresh takes on classic Nike silhouettes that will include the Nike Air Force 1, Air Mowabb, Air Footscape, Air Max 98 and Air Jordan IV. There also will be 16 apparel pieces and accessories by Olivia Kim for Nike.
The collection takes inspiration from 90s' New York Street Fashion. The collection's name, "No Cover," is somewhat of a double entendre to a cover charge one would associate with New York nightlife. (which we've seen in other cities as well). In Kim's eyes, this collection is meant for everyone, both men and women, the young and the old - in order to promote no judgements and no rules.
Kim's selection for this collection based off the fact that she could never find anything in her size, which is a pain point many of us women have experienced. The collection features apparel reminiscent of Kim's teenage wardrobe from fleece hoodies and graphic tees featuring mini swooshes in glitter pink.
"The collection, in a sense, very much matches the personalities of these people who inspire me," says Kim. "It’s amazing to have Megan Rapinoe, John Waters and Binx Walton as faces of the campaign."
The collection will be at Nordstrom x Nike boutiques, including the new Manhattan location at Nordstrom NYC, online at Nordstrom.com/xNike and on SNKRS on October 31, and will drop in additional North America stores and globally on November 8.
