The Nike x Sacai VaporWaffle is Dropping Soon

There is no doubt that one of the most sought after collaborations is anything Nike x Sacai. Ever since Nike first teamed up with the Japanese luxury brand back in 2019, they’ve kept up the momentum and brought us the heat time and time again. Nike x Sacai’s latest collaborative sneaker gained major traction in the sneaker community back in January of this year. Here, we give you a bit of the backstory and all the latest details on how you can finally get your hands on the Nike x Sacai VaporWaffle.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane. We first saw images of the Nike x Sacai VaporWaffle back in January at the Sacai FW20 showing in Paris where celebrities, like Aleali May, got a first glimpse of what was to come from the brand, including some collaborative footwear with the Swoosh. The shoes deconstructed nature and exaggerated lip at the heel immediately caught everyones eye. Stacked Swoosh branding, intertwined laces, and dual tongue tags only further created intrigue around the highly conceptual design. The VaporWaffle was seen in Tour Yellow/Stadium Green, String/Villain Red/Neptune Green, Sail/Game Royal/Sport Fuchsia, and Black/Summit coloways.
Images began circulating on the internet and has had every sneakHERhead asking all types of questions: When is this dropping? Will this be a SNKRS exclusive raffle? Does this inevitably mean a major L? COVID hit and, like many other major sneaker releases, that meant this shoe’s release was most likely going to be placed on the back burner. However, official images from Nike have begun to emerge and that means a release is on the horizon. Check out some of the on foot and official shots below.
WHEN IS THE NIKE X SACAI VAPORWAFFLE RELEASING?
Although Nike has not confirmed a release date, rumor has it these are set to drop 11/6 for $180 USD most likely through the SNKRS app. There has not been word if the Nike x Sacai VaporWaffle will be a released via a drawing or not or if certain colorways will be region exclusive. The Nike x Sacai VaporWaffle in the Royal Fuchsia and Black/White colorways are dropping on 11/13 via the SNKRS app. No word on when the Tour Yellow/Stadium Green and String/Villain Red/Neptune Green colorways will drop but we’ll keep you up to date on any new info. Rumor has it that the Tour Yellow/Stadium Green and String/Villain Red/Neptune Green colorways are set to drop on 12/17. No sign of them on SNKRS or anywhere else for that matter but we’ll update you as soon as we know all the details.
