Not too long ago, we dropped the news that Skylar Diggins was moving her talents to PUMA - and now we have another familiar face joining the team. In an announcement yesterday, PUMA released the news of a long-term partnership with Selena Gomez. The global brand went on to say that Selena would start working immediately on designing new product and creating fresh marketing campaigns.

FROM THE DESK OF SELENA GOMEZ...

“PUMA has changed the game when it comes to the mash-up of athletic wear and fashion. It’s amazing to see this influence on style and culture and I’m excited to be a part of it. I am hoping that we can create something special together. We already have some really cool projects in the works.”

According to PUMA, Selena's first order of business is the Phenom campaign (which is an upcoming footwear release for the ladies).

Recently, the brand has strived to connect and add women to their platform that align with their values. Selena Gomez has proven herself to be an influential woman of style, integrity, and courage. Aside from her amazing career as a singer, actress, and producer - she has publicly spoken out about her battle with Lupus. The PUMA family went on to note that Selena's confidence and resilience in the time of challenges is aligned with what PUMA is about.

"Selena is a perfect partner for PUMA because she is not afraid of the challenges our world can offer; she fights and perseveres, which is exactly what PUMA is all about. She will not only represent our brand, but she will help to define and enhance our women’s business.”

- ADAM PETRICK, PUMA GLOBAL DIRECTOR FOR BRAND & MRKTING

PUMA is definitely on the right track, and I am excited to see what Selena brings to the table. Along with being a voice for the female consumers, the partnership will also focus on supporting good causes that are important to the singer. Do you all feel that Selena will help enhance PUMA's brand and grow business? We are pretty sure her bae (THE WEEKND) approves of this new venture as he also designs for PUMA. We will definitely keep the gang updated on this upcoming Phenom drop for the ladies. Stay tuned.
