Adidas Originals and Olivia Oblanc Just Dropped a Vintage Inspired Collection
One of my favorite things about Adidas is that they are always on the lookout for emerging designers with distinct styles to collaborate with. Following Danielle Cathari’s wildly successful deconstructed collections, the three stripes tapped a new young designer, Olivia Oblanc. Oblanc, a recent design school grad and the pioneer of her own streetwear label, was brought on to create a collection of gender-fluid apparel and accessories. This collaboration was so organic, and you can tell in the pieces. When asked why she wanted to work with Adidas, Oblanc explained,
The collection was heavily inspired by Adidas garments from the 70s and 90s. Oblanc took that vintage vibe and mixed it with her signature style of unisex workwear and heavy graphics. Featuring 15 pieces in a bold color palette of blues, reds and yellows, this collection is attention grabbing in the best way. From the puffer jackets to the crop tops, I’m swooning over this collaboration. Standout pieces for me are the Staple Jacket and the Zip Crop Top.
This collection is available now with prices ranging from $50 to $350. Every collaborative partner Adidas works with is always such a natural fit and this Oblanc collection keeps with that. This collection stays true to the brand while bringing in design aspects specific to Oblanc. If you’re feeling this bold, gender-fluid collab, you can SHOP THE COLLECTION below!
