Girlfriend Collective's New Outerwear Range Puts Sustainability At The Forefront

With waste emitted from the fashion industry on the rise, consumers and brands alike are finding new ways to approach sustainability within fashion. Recently, we have seen brands create some fire footwear options that utilizes materials that keep mother nature in mind without sacrificing style. Now, Girlfriend Collective is giving us outerwear to match.
Girlfriend Collective is a brand that is focused on sustainable fashion that has a premium feel, is cozy girl approved, and inclusive of all. Their goal was to create a community of people that cared about where their clothes came from just as much as how they looked. In November, Girlfriend Collective unveiled a collection of outerwear that combines both sustainability and protection against the winter elements. The collection features puffers, sherpa jackets, and windbreaker options.
The Girlfriend Collective Puffers includes the Classic Puffer, Cropped Puffer, and a Long Puffer option. The wind-resistant and water-repellent jacket has an outer shell and filling made of 100% recycled plastic bottles and cuffs made of 79% recycled plastic bottles and 21% spandex. Each jacket has two side pockets, an interior chest pocket with zipper closure and fleece lining. The Classic Puffer and Cropped Puffer come with an adjustable bottom bungee you can cinch in to keep cold air out while the Long Puffer comes with a removable hood with adjustable drawcord. Each puffer jacket comes in a black. limestone, thyme, and saddle color option.
The Girlfriend Collection Sherpa Jackets comes in a full-zip and half-zip option with a body composed of 100% recycled plastic bottles and binding and pocketing made from 90% recycled plastic bottles and 10% spandex. Double sided sherpa ensures an extra plush and soft interior and exterior while two side pockets with zipper closures finish off the warm and cozy jackets. Color options include ice, moon, and cream.
Windbreakers round out the collection with a full-zip and half-zip option. Made from 100% recycled single-use plastic bottles, these windbreakers are water-resistant, have a loose fit, a hood that can be hidden when not in use and cinchable waist. Coming in both black and moss, this jacket is the perfect outwear addition to any girl-on-the-go’s wardrobe.
