Sheila Rashid Teams Up with H&M for a Collection Focused on Voting
You may be familiar with designer Sheila Rashid (does the Jumpman ‘Unite’ campaign ring a bell). The Chicago native hasn’t let the pandemic stall any creativity, and she’s recently teamed up with H&M to be one of the featured artists designing for the Blanks Artist Collaboration. The campaign highlights artists like Sheila, and promotes the importance of voting in a bipartisan way. Let’s be honest for a moment here. The upcoming election is beyond important and if brands are utilizing their platform to empower us to use our voices and exercise our right to vote - we’re here for it.
While Sheila Rashid isn’t new to the streetwear game, she brings her style elements to create pieces for the Blanks Collection with H&M. Through original designs, Sheila brings her bold lettering and graphics to the apparel. Eye-catching pieces is where Sheila likes to hang her hat, and we’re excited to see her use her creative expression to impact change and make a difference.
Aside from creating gear that is constructed with a powerful message, H&M is also helping consumers check their voter status and register by texting HMVOTES to 26797. The full collection will release on 9/22, which is also National Voter Registration Day. The apparel capsule will range from $18 USD to $40 USD.
