The brainchild of Harlem-born designer Alex Taylor, Hoop York City is women’s basketball collective that brings NYC women together through a shared love of shooting hoops. Taylor, frustrated by the gender gap in sports, married her love of basketball and passion for community-building to create the local organization. The inspirational homegrown club skyrocketed online, garnering attention from big name brands like Red Bull and Hennessy, with adidas now following suit.

The adidas x Hoop York City collection boasts a vibrant color palette and apparel styles suited for all four seasons. Royal purple, true blue, and pastel lime reign supreme throughout this apparel and footwear collab. The capsule collection features two special edition versions of the adidas Exhibit B Women’s Basketball sneaker, as well as both women’s and men’s apparel styles. Standout items in the line include two crewneck pullovers and a button-down shooting shirt, all featuring hand-sketched graphics of basketball players and inspirational phrases.
