adidas Brand recently partnered with ILLIMITÉWORLD to produce a short film that unpacks the inspiration behind Chapter 1 of the 2023 Collection entitled, “Remember the Why". This collection comprises of everyday staples, bringing luxury streetwear to the fore front with comfort and style in mind. The inspiration behind these pieces lies in that feeling that exists beyond the frenzy of everyday life; the sheer passion that drives us as human beings. In a world that is so bombarded by over stimulation, the muted palette of this collection brings the focus right back to what really matters beneath all the noise; pure satisfaction.
The short film titled, “Chapter 01: Remember the Why,” was launched globally on November 21, 2022. The film follows the perspective of a basketball player going through distraction after distraction. Eventually, he finds peace on an empty court where he is the only player; where there is nothing else filling the space besides the ball and the hoop. This film centers around the idea that success comes when you silence the noise and lean into the very why of what you are doing, which also ties into the ethos behind this collection.

The collection features high quality sweatpants, track pants, sleeveless shirts, shorts, and more, all following the same three shade color scheme. In their use of colors Halo Green, Metal Grey, and Cloud White, the team over at adidas created this collection to remind consumers that in this new age of sensory overload, sometimes it’s okay to get rid of the clutter and start fresh. “An empty stage is the perfect venue for a new foundation,” after all. Using modern design techniques and premium materials, these clothing items were born from simplicity.
