Nike Announces the NBHD Collective

We are noticing a healthy shift happening in sneakers. No, we’re not talking about accessibility - this is still a work in progress. We’re talking about the intentionality put into community-driven initiatives. When brands we love start to really bridge the lanes of real people in the community to experiential retail efforts, magic can happen. For example, Jordan Brand really took off this year with the Jordan Women’s Collective. Essentially, it was a purposeful way to give back while getting to know real journeys of the women that are trailblazers in their local communities. With sneakers as the common thread, the relationships that are built authentically can and will drive impactful change beyond the industry.

Next up, the Swoosh announces the Nike NBHD Collective 001. This program serves as an ambassador program where Nike takes on grassroots community efforts with some of it’s top local store/partners. How do you push a level of disruptive compassion at the ground level? You work with the women and men that are actually IN the local communities. Everyone selected has a passion for creating community and works as a representative for their stores and cities.

We have to give a huge shoutout and CONGRATS to our girl Henny AKA @hennykicksit ! We are so excited to see her on the roster for this collective.
