Cop or Can: Jordan Brand Tries To Court The Ladies w/ 'Heiress Collection'
Alright, so it's been pretty clear over the last few years that female sneaker lovers are getting tired of what seems to be the 'ShrinkandPink' formula sneakerville has used to appeal to female consumers. Basically, take a hot silhouette, strip it of it's original colorways, replace with something pink (or purple because, options) and offer it in smaller sizes because our feet are whittle. A vast number of women (such as myself *pops collar*) found it pretty insulting that we had to scour for GS sizes of the shoes we wanted (or land that Unicorn 6M) or nab girlified versions. No happy medium.
I don't even like pink, bruh.
Now, it seems Jordan Brand is finally taking a beat to listen as they roll out a collection of court classics just for us. Jordan Brand’s Heiress Collection features the Air Jordan X Retro, Air Jordan 1 Retro High, Jordan Jasmine, and the recently unveiled Jordan Reveal.
All four releases utilize pristine pearl and black leather for a definitively high-end look. Golden details on the Swoosh, heel stitching, and on the tongues add to the luxe effect. The entire Jordan Heiress Collection launches in May, with the Air Jordan X “Pearl” dropping on May 7th.
Take a better look in the slide show below. So, is this a cop or a can for you? Personally, I'm only here for the AJ 10 and the AJ 1. What are your thoughts?
