Sneaker Diary: Happy Hour with the adidas Falcon

One reason I love my sneakHERs is because the comfort level they give me. Aside from my love of bright colorways, I need my sneakers to easily transition me between places when I’m on the move.

Like many boss babes that navigate through a variety of hustles and creative passions, the majority of my work day is allocated to Corporate America. The infamous 9-5 which can include slacks, button ups, and blazers. With that being said, a favorite pastime when working behind a desk is counting down the minutes to happy hour. A stress-free environment to kick it with friends, have an adult beverage and throw on my sneakers.

In Houston, there’s a number of great happy hour (or Sunday Funday) spots. On this day, I decided to take my talents to Bovine and Barley located in Downtown H-town. The bar prides itself on comfort bites to eat, a variety of drinks, and a vintage style gameroom upstairs.

I’m all about affordable comfort to relax in, so pairing my Houndstooth work slacks with a boxy black sweater seemed fitting and transitional between the bar and the office. I grabbed these pants from Old Navy and they have a plethora of options with a great stretchy fit.

I’ve had my eye on the WMNS adidas Falcon silhouette for some time. I wasn’t sold on the whole dad shoe vibe, but was a fan of the colorblocking on the upper. I picked out the black and light pink variation to compliment my black/white outfit. BTW- these are also affordable compared to some of the other sneakers on my watch list. Despite the chunky appearance, the adidas Falcon is pretty lightweight and very comfortable!
