SneakHER Girl's Guide To: Valentine's Day
One thing we pride ourselves on here at CNKDaily is our commonality. We totally get that being a woman often feels like a full-time job and sometimes, you just need a little help, a little bit of instruction and, ultimately, a way to make your life just a LITTLE bit easier. So, I had an idea to tap into our network to pull knowledge and insight from some of our favorite go-getting ladies for a series of "CNK Guides" designed to educate, empower, and help you compliment your already dope SneakHER Style.
For this SGG, we decided to enlist one of our fave sneakHER divas to help curate a fun look for the holiday of love. February has us bringing out the red lippies and flattering dresses as we plan a night to celebrate Valentine’s with bae. However, we wanted to go a different route. Our holiday SGG gave our CNK Crew some great ideas for dressing up your kicks, but what about a comfy, casual (and cute AF) look for a “Galentine’s” date? SAY LESS.
Our style aficionado Megan Sheppard (remember her from our Cinco De Mayo looks?) gives us the deets on the perfect V-day inspo using fun colors, patterns, and classic kicks. Not only does she master hair styles, but she knows how to curate looks for the everyday woman to get inspired. We went on location to Houston's River Oaks Theatre so that we could connect with Megan as she breaks down her sneakHer style tips. We won't lie, Megan is definitely a whole VIBE. Her outward sense of individuality exudes confidence and that is a foundation to great style.
#5 FIRST THINGS FIRST
When mixing sexy + sporty looks, I would always start with the top. Figure out if you want to rock a jacket or a dress, and then go for the kicks that pair the best. I feel like you can put any type of shoes with certain clothing, so the clothing is usually my focal point. The sneakHERs give that fierce compliment to the clothes.

For shoes, I like to choose something that is different and eye-catching. I do like color, but I want comfort ability where I can wear them for a long period of time. I’m really all about Nike sneakHERs. #SWOOSH
#3 CREATING A LOOK FOR VALENTINES
Gravitating to this look was definitely the colors of the jacket design. You typically think about pink and reds when it comes to Valentine’s Day. For the shoes, I choose my go-to and something I can dress up or down. I love to have my high Nike socks and be super comfortable.
