Editorial: Nike Sportswear Grabs Our Attention With Fall 2019 Collection

2018 and 2019 have marked what appear to be accelerated growth in the women’s sportswear and streetwear space. Especially as brands like Nike continue to cater to Women with clothing and sneaker options that continuously hit the mark for LWLS - Ladies Who Love Streetwear. When we initially saw the latest Nike Sportswear Fall 2019 offering earlier this month, we saw a few items specifically that we knew would strike a definite chord with female consumers. Fresh fabric combos, gorgeous colors, and the variety of the pack made it one we were keen to keep our eyes on. Now, as summer begins it’s departure, we're coming face-to-lens with more from this collection thanks to our friends at euro-retailer, Urban Women's Club.
Shot by photographer Antonio Thiery, the new collection includes a range of pieces, from tracksuits to tech skirts to varsity sweaters, all plaid everything, and that coveted Zoom X Vista. One of our favorites happens to be the NSW Woven Swoosh Jacket and matching pant. Repping the Swoosh in an old-school design, the Nike Sportswear Jacket features ripstop nylon fabric for a smooth feel. Its loose fit gives you room to move, and a mesh lining adds an extra level of soft comfort that will bode well for the woman who stays on the move. In looking at all the pieces, we love that they all allow you to mix and match your looks to your own liking and effortlessly explore all the facets of your #sneakHERstyle. Another plus? Many of the looks (read: the Satin Track Suit, varsity sweater, and plaid bomber) can easily stay in your closet for a few years.
From camo coordinates to crop hoodies and high-waisted pleated pants, the Nike Sport Pack, is old meets new in the most progressive and dynamic way. Dynamic fabrics and unique prints merge to categorically ease into the "disrupt the norm" tagline.
Classic sportwear turns on it's head a bit with multiple offerings that can easily transition from season to season and create a new avenue of self-expression. One of the core objectives of this collection was to create a grab-and-go feel that would allow for an endless number of style combinations, giving you both options for a variety of looks AND a major bang for your buck with multiple staple pieces. And yes, we’re so here for it.
