CNK Spotlight: Female Owned Businesses to Watch This Month
At CNKDaily, we are not only striving to build a community of strong women. We are also working to empower women to support each other through entrepreneurship and positive impact. While we are connected through a common bond of sneakHER style, there are so many ladies who are building their own brands from beauty to apparel to art.
Within our CNK content, we pride ourselves on serving as a voice in sneakHER culture but also connecting opportunities for female creatives and business owners. These boss babes are truly brand architects who know what it takes to build, while inspiring us in the process. For May, we are taking our CNK spotlight to introduce some of the brands we are loving, shopping, and saluting. During times like these, it’s more important than ever to support small businesses.
With so many creatives on the horizon, sometimes we all need that individual who can bring our vision to life. Jontrice Murray has an eye for fashion and unique ways to conceptualize the intersection of multiple industries. From fashion meets lifestyle to art and music, Jontrice works closely with her clients to bring amazing imagery to reality. She is a consistent student of her craft and not to mention, but her sneakHER game is pretty clean. We personally give her our stamp of approval.
During these challenge times, our patience and faith can be tested. We are forced to adjust to a new normal and we need reminders that keep us rooted in the right direction. Each morning we wake up and tune into the message on @livedeeplyrooted, founded by Sopha Rush. She has created a community and a sisterhood that works hard to stay rooted in God’s word. If you consider yourself a beginner when it comes to intentional prayer, Sopha has you covered with prayer guides and resources to get you started.
You may already be following Christina Martinez on the ‘Gram and know her as @sew_trill, but this artist showcases her passion for self-expression and self-exploration through her amazing artwork. Her work is really amazing and speaks to the many layers of a woman, with an emphasis on finding beauty in all things.
We all need a little health and wellness in our lives at this point. If you are a newbie or pro at the fitness game, it’s always a plus to find women that are creating communities for all levels. Kells James is a Certified Personal Trainer who has put in the work to change her own lifestyle and support doing the same for others. She offers a variety of programs to fit your exercise and nutrition needs, and also has a budget-friendly 5-week at-home program right now. Get StrongHER.
We can agree that black women are powerful, resilient, and beautiful. Sable Muse is a platform that accentuates the beauty in black sisterhood. She doesn’t stray away from celebrating this sisterhood as a whole and putting pride in the fierce femininity of her artwork. One time for black girl magic personified.
