Without a doubt, you can’t help but stan the Queen. Beyonce has been in the music game for well over two decades, curating the soundtrack of our lives. Beyonce moves so effortlessly to the beat of her own drum, and has always been a strong advocate for the Black community. With the tragic events unfolding around Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd - to name a few - we are all looking for ways to make a difference.

One way we can support our communities is by putting our coins back into Black businesses. The same way we spend hundreds of dollars on big brand retailers each year (or even each month), we can allocate our funds back into supporting people that look just like us and building the strength of that entrepreneurial spirit. On Juneteeth, Beyonce used her platform to promote a full directory of Black-owned businesses from across the waves of a variety of industries. The listing on her website was curated by Zerina Akers, Founder of Black Owned Everything and is the intersection and route for many small businesses that you may not be familiar with but definitely need to check out.

Black excellence is a form of protest. Black joy is your right.

We spotted a few familiar faces in the crowd of Black Parade and were ecstatic to see such a dope, and comprehensive, listing of entrepreneurs and creatives being highlighted. Take a look into the directory and also a pause to celebrate the power and joy of all the Black communities we love.

"Black Parade" benefits BeyGOOD's Black Business Impact Fund, administered by the National Urban League, to support Black-owned small businesses in need.
