Sneaker Diary: A Day In Vans Comfycush Era

I know I usually start off each Sneaker Diary with it’s been a while since I’ve done one but yes guys its been a while and your girl has been busy. Over the past couple of months I’ve attended events with Jordan and Aleali May and celebrated Air Max Day in Chicago in a major way. But, last week I took the time to hang with one of best friends and catch some vibes in Wicker Park.
Chicago was starting to heat up a little and it was the perfect day for me to mix and match some old and new pieces. I also knew that I would be meeting up with my friend Amanda to catch up and grab some eats at Parsons since she was in town for work.
I opted to wear this floral print shirt that I grabbed from Target a few months ago, it was only $20 guys, and I love an item that looks more expensive than it costs. It's colorful and fun and I'll be wearing it again with some denim shorts or jeans soon. I paired the shirt with these faux leather shorts that I got from Nordstrom almost two years ago, you've probably seen them in another Sneaker Diary from last summer. But, the texture of these are really nice and don't give off the vibe that they are faux, if you're looking for a faux leather item that still looks real go for the one that isn't shiny. Just in case, it got cold I kept my denim jacket in the car.
If you've been following me on Instagram you'll probably notice I've been wearing Vans now more than ever and I'm happy . I think the first pair I ever owned was back in 2007 and they were a slip-on which are my faves but the Era's come pretty close. Last week, I finally wore my Vans Comfycush Era's in the 'Strawberry Pink and Zinnia' colorway and let me tell you first, these are really really cozy. I wrote about these a few months ago on here but the Comfycush line is new to Vans and it features softer outsole with a newly constructed canvas upper and overall these are pretty lightweight.
Safe to say, I kept these on all day and didn't feel a thing. Everyone seemed to love the colorway of these and I'm a fan too, they are bold enough but not over the top and sometimes that's all you need in a shoe. Trust you'll see me in these again.
