Rihanna isn't one to blend in, is she? Saturday the singer stole the show (and everyone's attention) with a performance at the MusiCares Person of the Year event honoring Lionel Richie.

The 27-year-old hitmaker stunned in a sheer plunging gown Marc Jacobs gown with thigh-high slit - which revealed an interesting choice of footwear.

Red Converse-like trainers with pointed toes were the move for the Bajan beauty which, for some, may have been quite a clash, but it's Rihanna - she always seems to make it work.

According to HausofRihanna, the singer was styled by Mel Ottenberg and wore an entire look (right down to those shoes) from Marc Jacobs' Spring/Summer 2016 collection.   Rihanna rocked look 55 which was originally modeled by supermodel Adriana Lima.  

She paired the floral frock with a dainty gold chain and a deep berry lipstick for the perfect pout.  

Is this a hit or a miss? Personally, the more I look the more I can appreciate Rihanna's dare-to-be-different style choice. However, I'll probably stick to the Classics. They suit me well.
