Cop or Can: Asics Gel-Lyte III OG 'Aquarium'
Asics usually keeps it releases pretty low key. Admittedly, it is a brand that often falls under our radar due to the abundance of releases from other brands in the market. However, that isn’t to say that Asics is boring by any means and can often times provide us with some fire options (including some under $100 USD). If there is one style that always comes to mind when we think Asics is the Gel-Lyte III, a classic runner that has been pushing the boundaries since its inception. In a string of general releases, the latest Gel-Lyte III gets an ‘Aquarium’ treatment.
The Asics Gel-Lyte III OG ‘Aquarium’ has a mainly leather construction with hints of tricot on the toe box and side panels. Aquarium blue takes over the majority of the shoe’s upper with splashes of Shocking Orange seen in the tiger stripe branding on the side. Signature design elements of the Gel-Lyte III are present such as the split-tongue and GEL technology cushioning in the heel to provide all day comfort. The Gel-Lyte III is finished off with black leather wrapped around the heel so as to not take away from the shoes overall boldly blue look. Take a look at the snaps below to get a better look.
The Asics Gel-Lyte III OG ‘Aquarium’ has not released in the US yet and only time will tell. You can expect to pick these up for $110 USD when they do drop stateside. In the meantime, you can shop other Asics styles via our shopping slider below. What are we thinking, cop or can?
