Eco-Conscious Brand Cariuma Just Released a Special Edition Sneaker for Earth Day 2022

At CNK Daily, we get excited when opportunities arise to combine two of our biggest passions: sneakers and sustainability. Putting our dollars into the pockets of brands that give back makes us feel good; getting a cool new pair of sneakers in turn is just the cherry on top!
Footwear brand Cariuma was founded by two Brazilian pals on a journey to combine classic skate styles with slow, sustainable fashion practices. Made from a variety of responsibly-sourced leather, recycled fabrics, and algae-derived rubber, their lifestyle sneakers are as eco-friendly as they are stylish.
Available in green and sand colorways, the Earth Day Oca Low has an organic, recycled cotton canvas upper. The cream-colored sole is made up of the brand’s new BLOOM rubber, a lightweight, renewable material made up of algae. Cotton laces come dyed in green and sand, matching the shoe’s body color. “STAND UP FOR MOTHER EARTH” is written on the outside-facing canvas panel, reminding us to defend our one and only home. This sneaker is made to order specifically for the you, meaning zero textile waste from unwanted sneakers.

Where can I get the Earth Day Oca Low?
These sustainable sneaks are only available through April 30 and are made to order for $89 USD on the Cariuma site. Orders purchased now will be shipped out in early August, and for each pair purchased, the Cariuma team will plant 10 trees.
