In the past, Hello Kitty has partnered with big brands like Converse and Puma over the last few years, taking creative control to make some seriously cute sneaks. It’s the swoosh authority’s turn now; our favorite cartoon kitten is getting an updated version of the Hello Kitty x Nike Air Presto, complete with a special edition Hello Kitty shoebox.
Back in 2004, Hello Kitty partnered with Nike to create a line of themed Air Prestos to celebrate Sanrio’s 30th anniversary. There was a plan to release 4 styles, with a total of 500 pairs released to the public, but only a handful were ever created and shared with friends and family. This makes the OG Hello Kitty Air Presto an incredibly rare sneaker collectible.

For its rerun, the Hello Kitty Air Presto comes with a University Blue upper, covered in a Hello Kitty logo pattern. Giant red bows top the tongues while a Hello Kitty’s face makes up the entire ankle. Graphic insoles feature a too-cute landscape scene complete with a smiling sun and rainbow. The 2022 Hello Kitty Air Presto comes with its own limited edition themed shoebox, featuring the a cartoonized swoosh with the Hello Kitty bow on top.

Where can I get the Hello Kitty x Nike Air Presto?
The Hello Kitty Nike Air Presto released on the Sanrio site this past week on May 11, but is set for a wider release on the Nike site on Friday, May 27. You can cop a pair for $140 USD upon release.
