Two Of The World's Biggest Sneaker Retailers Linked Up For a New adidas NMD
As adidas Consortium continues it's travel "Sneaker Exchange" (a program dedicated to pairing retailers together in order to create adidas concept kicks), Three Stripes teams with two of the world's biggest sneaker retailers to introduce a brand new NMD CS2 silhouette.
NYC-based retailer KITH and women's sneaker boutique NAKED joined collective forces with adidas for a three-way collab that builds upon both of their individual adidas collabs from last year (heck out Naked's "Wave Pack" and Ronnie Fieg's UltraBOOST Mid if you need a memory jog) and creates a striking City Sock style shoe that is as eye-catching as it is unconventional.
With a pristine white Boost sole and an all out overhaul of traditional laces, the CS2’s vibrant and textured upper makes it this shoe's star. The upper, which is inspired by powder paints in major collision mode, features a nod to the three stripes from the top of the tongue to the tip of the sneaker toe. An elasticated and asymmetric top-line adds to the ultra-modern aesthetic without overdoing it.
The shoe arrives in two colorways: pink and sandstone. While it's clear the nod speaks to the female sneaker enthusiast in conjunction with Naked CPH's singular ladies focus, the sneaker still boasts enough unisex elements that will also appeal to our male counterparts.
The adidias Consoritum KITH x NAKED NMD CS2 will release on March 4 via kith.com and nakedcph.com, before rolling out to global adidas retailers on March 11.
In the meantime, see how this move falls right into KITH's female strategy with a look behind their latest strategic hire.
