Nike's AF 100 Collection Is a Dream
As the Air Force 1 rings in it's 35th Anniversary, Nike pays homage to the classic kicks by merging past with present. The AF100 Collection features taps into the Air Force's influences on pop culture, style, fashion, and music by recruiting five distingushed voices for it's crispy revamp.
Travi$ Scott, Don C, Virgil Abloh, ACRONYM’s Errolson Hugh, and Roc-a-Fella Records’ Kareem “Biggs” Burke, were tasked with recreating the 1982 classic in their own eyes while emphasizing the need to capture either a point in time of their era or a new spin on the classic. Whether it be a haphazard placement of Nike Swoosh logos, a blend of the Air Force 1 family, or even a simple throwback to a past icon, the AF100 Collection delivers a certain hype for one of Nike's most celebrated sneakers.
The only con we find with this collection? We would have loved to see a female take on the silhouette. Since the Force Is Female campaign is still going strong, seems kind of odd - no? See below for a closer look at all five collaborative Forces and catch each release beginning in November at Complex Con, and later via individual release dates.
Just a reminder: if you're into all white sneaks, be sure to check out our favorite all white sneakers UNDER $100.
