Nike Targets Women With Active Performance Sunglass Line

It looks like Nike is paying close attention to it's female consumers and continuing to grow it's Women's brand by getting shady.

Following in the gigantic footsteps of their ladies athlesiure collections AND a slew of ladies-only sneakers releases, the Swoosh gets into the eyewear game with a new line of sunglasses from Nike Vision. Influenced by performance and style as well as fashion and athletics, Nike brings forth this effort with the help of Marchon Eyewear to produce five new sunglasses, to replace existing unisex models.

The four styles currently available are the Nike Flex Motion, Nike Flex Momentum, the Nike Flex Finesse, and the Nike Vital. The fifth style, Nike Helix Elite, features Zeiss Optics and is a one-piece lens incorporating rubber channels and ventilation for fog prevention. Nike Helix Elite is priced between $195 to $210, and will be available in March.

This new collection was designed after gathering fee dback from female athletes about their needs pertaining to performance and lifestyle. All lenses except for the Helix Elite can be fitted with prescription lenses and the entire collection offers UVA/UVB protection and comes equipped with lightweight nylon frames and Nike Max Optics technology. New colorways will appear each season to match Nike’s new apparel and footwear offerings. So, basically, Nike is bringing that new new.

The new Women’s eyewear line is available at nike.com, nikevision.com and at select optical and online retailers.
